"Our entire trip to Athens was spent at the A for Athens Hotel, and the overall experience far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens! The hotel boasts a prime location in the heart of the Old Town, just a 3-minute walk to Monastiraki Square, and a mere ten-minute stroll to the Acropolis and Plaka Old Town. Metro stations, local eateries, and affordable supermarkets are abundant nearby, making both getting around and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel's biggest highlight is its rooftop terrace bar, offering an unobstructed panoramic view of both the Acropolis and Mount Lycabettus. Coming up for a drink at sunset truly sets a fantastic mood, and it's an excellent spot for photos. Room cleaning is meticulous and thorough daily; the floors and bathrooms are spotless, and the air conditioning, hot water, and high-speed Wi-Fi are stable all day. The bed is soft, ensuring a great night's sleep. The 24-hour front desk staff are warm and friendly; they proactively offer city maps, patiently explain sightseeing routes, and even provide free luggage storage for large items. Breakfast is an authentic Greek buffet, featuring a wide variety of cheeses, olives, handmade pies, freshly ground coffee, and fresh fruit – enough to fuel a full day of walking tours. The only minor drawback is that the building is older, and the elevator is a bit small, but this in no way detracts from the overall guest experience. Balancing location, service, and views, this hotel offers exceptional value for money in central Athens. I would definitely rebook here on my next trip to Athens, Greece!"

"Worst Hotel. Stayed in a suite, filthy, dirty, useless house keeping team, dirty dirty dirty. Ruined our experience, did nothing for my Wife’s bday, did not accommodate us at their rooftop Bar or restaurant. Totally ruined our mood with no remorse Worst hospitality Ok location, expensive in-house parking, nothing special about the view, there are many better hotels with everything better, pricing too ! Big mistake to have chosen this property. WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN FOR FREE !"

However, the room was so dirty (mould on the toilet walls, dust everywhere, microwave and fridge were unclean). We have been bite marks every night and blamed it on mosquitoes but on out last night, we found bed bugs which made us leave the place a few hours than planned. The entire place including the pool needs deep cleaning and maintenance."

This practice of diverting customers to other facilities at the last minute is apparently commonplace, just read the reviews. They then let us return. On the last day we were woken up by work being carried out in the room next to ours. Not professional at all. Not recommended."
